Guy Wright… Just Guy

Hilarious, unassuming, and brilliant, Guy Wright has quickly become a fixture on “favorite player” lists everywhere. Bringing a technical brilliance and casual control to Team SPYY, Guy’s videos like “The Letter Blue” and “I Punched Boxthor in the Catch 22″, have solidified him as one of the pre-eminent creative and innovative forces in yo-yoing today. His signature yo-yo, the Punchline, adds a full-sized, but floaty feel to the SPYY line, and is as smooth as Guy, himself… if that’s even possible.

Jonathan Robinson AKA JonRob

*photo by Rafael Matsunaga (Red) – Thanks, Red!
EDIT: As of the New Year, JonRob has decided to lay low and do his own thing. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jonathan for his contributions to SPYY and the yoyo community as a whole. All the best!
Jonathan Robinson, the first member of Team SPYY, has come to personify the word “NASTY”. With a style smoother than molten gold and an unhurried approach, Jon Rob’s stage performances have made him a all-time favorite among 5a practitioners. His well-known swagger and fierce competitive drive hide a kind heart and a gift for teaching. Like Jon Rob himself, his signature yo-yo, the Pure, has reset the standard for technical innovation and luxurious opulence. In Jon Rob’s hands, it can truly do anything, which calls to mind the Dizzy Dean quote, “It ain’t braggin’ if you can back it up.”
